Five acts have made it through to the finals on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. That leaves five more finalists to be chosen from the remaining twelve semi finalist. The talent is divided among four singers, three dance groups, two magicians, a musician although several of the singers are also musicians, a stunt bike rider, and a variety aerial act.
Several of the performers are seasoned veterans, while a couple are pretty raw and green. Who are the performers left trying to make it into the finals? Here is a look at them and where they are from.
Alice Tan Ridley wowed the judges through the elimination rounds. Famous in New York as a subway singer, and mother of Oscar nominated actress Gabourey Sidihe, Alice could become America’s Susan Boyle.
Debra Romer a musician/singer from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Debra is a street kid who ran away from the foster care system when she was sixteen and never looked back. She is currently attending college and before AGT waiting tables. She is pretty to look at and delightful to listen to, but is she as vulnerable as she appears?
Fighting Gravity is a black-light illusion dance group from Blacksburg, VA. This group of frat brothers came together in 2009 to compete at fund raising talent show at Virginia Tech. Can a black- light dance group make it through to the finals? Wait and see.

Jackie Evancho is the ten year old opera singer that caused a stir on the web after her first performance. When such a big voice came out of such a tiny little girl, many asked if Evancho was lip synching. The Las Vegas bookmakers are currently giving odds that Evancho will win the $1,000,000 and take the title of America’s Got Talent. Her debut album was released in 2009 and is titled, “Prelude to a Dream”.
Jeremy Vanschoonhoven is a stunt bike rider from Talent, Oregon. While the young stunt performer is talented winning the Junior National Championship, attending 6 World Championships and winning 5 National Championships it is impossible to imagine him headlining a Vegas act.
Maestro Alexander Bui a musician from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Bui was taught by his mother a classical trained pianist from the Vietnamese Conservatory and she trained him well. The young Maestro is pursuing his dream by practicing 6-8 hours a day.
Michael Grasso is one of two magicians in the finals. Grasso hails from Cape May, New Jersey. Grasso has appeared on numerous television specials, preformed at Hollywood’s Magic Castle and in casinos both in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Good magic is always entertaining and Grasso certainly headlines a Las Vegas Show.
Michael Lipari and Ashleigh Defore are a variety aerial act from Las Vegas. The couple met four years ago as Michael was working out at the beach in Santa Monica. Together they provide passion and a beautiful aerial display. Will their passion see them through?
Murry the Magician is another young performer from Las Vegas. He brings a certain fresh style to magic with his spiked blonde hair and black glasses. He is young and fresh and fun to watch, but is that enough to win?
Nathaniel Kenyon is a 19 year old singer songwriter from Boxley, Georgia. He is cute and talented and has a future in front of him. Does he have what it takes to pull off a win against all the seasoned professionals in the show???
Studio One Young Beast Society, their name tells you this isn’t your run of the mill dance troupe. These young dancers ranging in age from 10 to 21 years come from Orlando, FL. The group is full of fun and energy and is fun to watch.
