The juice that is extracted from the leaf is said to be bitter. The juice may be taken internally for digestive disorders. Aloe vera is still widely used to heal burns and wounds. Aloe vera has many benefits.

Aloe helps keep skin soft and supple.
If it is taken internally, it is an effective laxative and will promote general healing.
There are precautions. Do not take aloe vera internally during pregnancy. Aloe should not be used internally by children or the elderly.
