Showbizspy tells how President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are living high on the hog (so to speak), and the taxpayers are paying for it. This certainly doesn’t set well with taxpayers during this tough economic time. People are losing their jobs, living without pay raises, pinching pennies, and praying that the economy will get better. So far, it really doesn’t seem like anything is getting better, though. Sure, politicians can say that it’s going to take some time for us to feel the relief. This could be true, but it surely seemed like it took a lot less time for us to feel the pain, and we continue to feel the pain.
While it fails to set well with me to hear of Michelle Obama’s vacation travels on taxpayer’s money, I do often ask myself whether she’s actually spending so much money, really. Too, how is President Barack Obama spending so much money? Are all eagle eyes on them due to their race, or is this money-spending claim really a legitimate one? One hint that such a claim could be legitimate is that showbizspy cites the National Enquirer as a source, so this stops and makes me think. I know! I know! Some will quickly say that the National Enquirer is a rag-tag-type of gossip magazine that deserves little credit, but I say otherwise.
While it’s true that the National Enquirer does tend to stretch the truth on some issues, so do other seemingly-credible newspapers and magazines. I could name names and cases, but I won’t because I just want to point out that the National Enquirer does seem to so often break the story first. Too, like other magazines, they have their own legal standards, so they do some research before they do break a story. Still, some readers may say that the National Enquirer publishes lies and isn’t worth reading. Think about it, though. The National Enquirer got items that no other magazines could get. (For instance, they secured a first picture of Elvis in his coffin, according to TC Palm.)
The bottom line is that Barack and Michelle Obama needs to think of the country and stop spending so much money if they are, in fact, spending so much of the taxpayers’ money. Even so, are they really spending any more that the previous first couples did? Surely, we can find pictures of the Bushes, the Clintons, and other first couples all decked out in designer clothes. Didn’t other first couples throw parties? Didn’t other first couples take vacations? Likely, the word yes can answer all these questions, so why are we depriving the Obama couple of the same privilege?
