West of Crissy Field in the Presidio of San Francisco, tucked away in a historic air hanger, gravity is being defeated! It’s a whole new concept in both fitness and recreational facilities and a few weeks ago the doors opened. It is called The House of Air and it is an indoor trampoline park. That’s right I said indoor trampoline park. Now, I don’t know about you, but the last time I was left to my vices to go crazy on a trampoline was when I was 8 or 9 years old partly because up until now grownups rarely get access to trampolines large enough to really get busy on some air!
Not only is this a fun facility its fitness focused which is good for everyone. This place has managed to incorporate traditional sports like basketball and dodge ball and add a few feet of air between the floor and our feet.Yes, you may at last accomplish that slam dunk! There are showers with lockers just like the gym and the overall atmosphere is consist ant with a typical fitness facility, you are there to sweat. The House is host to fitness classes, physical training on trampolines, matches, games, birthday parties and corporate events, fundraisers, family shin digs and the average Joe looking for some action. The 42 conjoined trampolines are equivalent to the size of an official NBA basketball court surrounded by angled trampoline walls. That means that no matter where you land you are safe. That means unlimited flying, bouncing and fun! You can bring the kids as well. They have a classic children’s bounce house!Be sure you reserve early because they are sold out quick especially on the weekends.
