For Prospect Heights folks looking for places to go out and dance on the weekends, the local options will soon be greater: Community board 8 voted to give Bar Sepia a cabaret license at its last meeting on Oct fifth, reports Prospect Heights Patch.
Bar Sepia, at 234 Underhill, is already a neighborhood favorite, with a “cozy vibe,” great selection of beer, wine and cocktails, and an “enjoyable patio in the backyard” for sipping under the sun or stars.
Customer reviews are generally very good, making reference to the “comfy couches,” friendly staff and good drink deals.
But Sepia owner Delissa Reynolds wants to make it a bit more hoping it would seem, and so applied to CB 8 for the cabaret license which will make it “legal for large groups of customers to get up and dance.”
Currently Sepia is open until 2 am on Fridays and 4 am on Saturdays according to PHP. If the new license significantly changes the atmosphere, vibe, or the regular clientele, is yet to be seen.
