I love Calvin Klein. I like just about every perfume he releases. I don’t know he does it. He seems to be perfect with creating fragrances.
I wasn’t thrilled to try Beauty at first because I thought I already tried it before. Then I remembered that I tried Beautiful by Estee Lauder-not Beauty.
The first time I smelled it, I thought it smelled just like any other perfume (so many of them smell alike to me). But lately, I gave Beauty another try, and I’m in love!
The first thing it reminded me of was J’adore by Dior. It has that same rich floral note to it. It kind of smells a little like Lola by Marc Jacobs, too.
The perfume is described as “the ultimate femininity of a luminous and modern floral”. And they are right! The florals in this perfume are very sexy and feminine.
It also has a soapy, clean smell to it. It could be the soft florals like jasmine flowers. Jasmine is very detectable, and I think smell jasmine in this one. It literally smells like a bar of soap.
Then a light citrus note emerges, and it smells like oranges-or orange peel to be exact. It’s a touch, so it’s not overbearing at all. It’s just enough to make the fragrance complex.
I love smell. It smells very formal, however. It’s not something you would wear everyday unless you have a formal job. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
It’s $65 for 1.7 oz.
