This is a beginner’s guide to managing topics in TikiWiki CMS. This guide will show beginners how to activate the topics, create new topics, delete topics, and edit topics. To begin using this guide, you will need to log in to your admin section. Once you are logged in, we will activate the topics module so you can begin creating topics.
Activating Topic Modules
To activate the topic module, you will need to click the Admin Home link in the left panel. Then you will see the Features box among many boxes on the next page. Click that box and look for the Topics option. Check the Topics box and click the Apply button to activate it.
Creating New topics in TikiWiki
To create a new topic, you will need to click the Admin Topic link in the left panel. The page will reload and you will see the Topic fields on the right side of the page. You will see the name field and the image field. If you want to use an image to go along with your topic, you can. To begin, you will need to enter a name for your topic. Then you can click the button to find the image you want to use and open it. Then click the Add button to create the new topic. To create more topics, repeat the steps above.
How to Delete Topics in TikiWiki
To delete topics, you will need to open topics page. Below the new topic box, you will see the topics you have already created. You can click the bright, red X next to the topic you want to delete. The topic will then be removed.
How to Edit a Topic in TikiWiki
To edit a topic, you will need to open the topics page again. This time, you will need to click the Edit icon next to the topic you wish to edit. When the page reloads, edit the topic and click save it.
