If you are in the Fort Worth, Texas area be sure to stop by Texas Pit BBQ for the best ribs and pork tacos around. Rib meat is fall off the bone tender, juicy with great flavor. There’s sauce for these, but you don’t need it, because the meat taste is the best.
Then there’s the pork tacos with pico de gallo, meat a bit spicy and sweet with super fresh pico in a corn tortilla. Here’s what I love about the pork tacos, you can order as a dinner. You get two tacos and two sides with the dinner or if you want a lighter meal, can order just one taco. So great for light lunch or snack.
Plus, the french fries are the real thing and I especially like the potato salad. Taste like homemade and for a healthy side get the tasty green beans. Plus, there is a bar here to grab a cold beer with your food.
Technically, “The Pit” (that’s what locals call this) is in Saginaw,,,, just north of 820, which is basically north Fort Worth. There’s also a drive through window if you are in a hurry. You can’t miss this place, has a huge yellow, smiley face sign in the parking lot.
The is a local family owned business and The Pit is closed on Sunday’s. There’s a daily special each day, but take note; Thursday is rib day, so evening is usually pretty crowded. Here’s the one draw back, it’s a bar with indoor dining all in one big room and they allow smoking in the bar area. There’s also an outside patio for dining as an option.
