Bexley American Classic Pen Designs
Bexley American classic pen designs was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 1993. Howard Levy, the founder, had researched American pen making techniques for decades, and set a goal of combining the beauty and detail of vintage writing instruments with modern technology to make it appealing to the new, fast lifestyle of today.
The company is wildly successful, distributing their unique, expensive pens to dealers the world over. These beautiful writing tools are loved for their mixture of charm, detail, quality, and style. Some of the styles are made from ebonite, which is a hard, rubber material that used to be very popular before they started using plastics for pens (back in the 1920s). Shape wise, they were often streamlined versions of household object or locomotives.
The American classic pen designs by Bexley sometimes have elegant filigreed overlays. There are several different ways of filling their fountain pens. Some can be filled using an eyedropper and an ink bottle. Others will fill by simply pressing a button. And still others can use a piston actuated converter or ink cartridges — interchangeably.
Bexley is one of the very few American pen companies in this country that still manufacture pricey, designer pens of high quality. Their artisans manage to make their precision components to very exact specs, using computerized equipment. They then assemble every single pen by hand, and polish it to give the buyer perfection, and indescribable beauty. Their chief designer, Jack Leone, never forgets the historic standards, high style, and perfect function that keeps these pens so coveted.
Bexley American classic pen designs are produced in small quantities — even smaller than the limited editions of their competitors. Because of this, the earlier designs from when they first opened sell for more today than they did when they first came out.
Every single one of their designer pens is warranted for normal use (to the original owner of the pen) against all defects in workmanship and materials. This holds true for the lifetime of the product. Normal wear and tear, as well as misuse, loss, or neglect, are excluded from the warranty. Be very careful to accurately and completely fill out the registration certificate that comes with this expensive pen. Once it is mailed to the company, you are recorded as the original owner.
If you are in need of repairs, simply go online and print a Bexley pen repair form, fill it out, and send it and the pen to the address on the form. The only charge you will pay, if it is a problem that is covered
by the warranty is a $7.00 charge for the return of your Bexley American pen classic designs to the US by priority mail.
