She’s always looking ahead to the next project and Beyonce is gearing up for her second signature fragrance, due out next year.
According to a report, Heat Rush will be hitting stores in February of 2011 and is aimed to be a more “everyday fragrance” rather than an overtly sexy scent like her first perfume Heat.
Coty Fragrance’s senior vice president Steve Mormoris told WWD, “It is our intent to continue building this brand. We see Beyonce as a pillar of our fragrance business.”
Marketing honcho Marsha Brooks added, “We know going in [to the launch of Heat Rush] that Beyoncé has huge appeal to women 18 to 24 years old, but we expect it to be bought by both younger and older women. This is a young, fresh, less-serious scent.”
Earlier this month it was revealed that Beyonce made the #9 spot on the 2010 Forbes List of the Most Powerful Women. According to their website, the singer/fashion designer raked in $80 million last year thanks to her artistic business ventures.
Always looking for ways to expand her empire, the singer is also getting ready to release a new line of temporary tattoos under her Dereon fashion label.
The “Crazy in Love” songstress and her mother Tina have teamed up with the Temptu makeup firm for the venture, and Tina says it’s going to be big.
“With a Sixties-pinup-girl meets-futuristic-biker-chick theme, Beyoncé and I really wanted to give our Deréon fall 2010 campaign a tough edginess.”
“We decided to invite Temptu to help us create custom body art for her to model with our fashions. The resulting images were so strong that we realized consumers might want to re-create the tattoos themselves.”
