What happened on Big Brother 12 last night? The CBS show hosted a live double eviction that saw my one time favorite Matt and Brendon leaves the premises. Now the Big Brother 12 cast is down to just five house guests.
Enzo, Hayden, Lane, Brittney and Ragan are the only five contestants left on Big Brother 12. So what are my predictions for what is to come on Big Brother in 2010?
Let’s start with Big Brother 12’s Enzo. Enzo may be part of an alliance with the Brigade, but he is on the outside looking in for several reasons. First and most importantly, Enzo has yet to win a single competition in the house. He has yet to be head of household and yet to claim a power of veto. If he has any positive note that would allow the jury to vote for him, it might be the fact that he has endured several “have-not” weeks and dressed up in a penguin suit. Enzo has relied on the strength of the Brigade(which included Matt, Lane and Hayden until this week) to get by. Enzo would have to win several contests in my opinion late in the season to somehow beat out any of the other houseguests. In fact, Enzo has bowed out several times so soon that it was almost as if he were the saboteur. Enzo is trying to sneak his way to the MEOW, MEOW title and I don’t think the other house guests on the jury will see him as a champion if he is up against anyone. That could change with a strong finish but it certainly doesn’t look good for him now.
What about Lane on Big Brother 12? Lane is in a strong position with multiple alliances. He is not only a member of the brigade but he also has Brittney on his side. That means, just like Matt, that Lane might eventually have a target on his back for playing more of the house. The Brigade could certainly putt Lane up considering his alliance with Brittney much like they had Brittney put Matt up because of his alliance with Ragan. Lane could be the most pivotal player on this season of Big Brother considering his current alliances. If Lane decided to flop sides, the house could be on even ground. If Lane sticks with his alliance and the Brigade, he could get back-doored by the other two Brigade members because of his alliance with Brittney. Lane has some major decisions to make in the next two weeks. Does he stay with the Brigade or jump on the Brittney Bandwagon. It will be very interesting to see what happens when it comes down to two or three final players. Lane would be smart to get rid of Hayden and not Enzo if he does flip. Enzo doesn’t have the current credentials to win it all.
Hayden is in a much better position now after finally winning the second head of household competition last night on Big Brother 12. Hayden would have been without a victory, too–but the two wins put him in a much better state than Enzo or Lane. Hayden could be the target for Lane and Enzo if the Brigade does make the final three. Some might think that Hayden would get the votes of the jury based on his popularity and the fact he has won competitions. If Lane and Enzo want to somehow win Big Brother 12, Hayden is going to have to go now or once the final three is reached. In fact, anyone who wants to win might take Enzo alongside because he hasn’t won competitions like Ragan, Brittney or Hayden.
Brittney is in a better position than some might think. Her alliance with Ragan might help her tune in to the fact that the Brigade exists. That means that it will most likely be two against three in the final five. Perhaps Brittney can learn the existence of the Brigade from Ragan and somehow get Lane to switch to her or their side. That doesn’t seem to be a good play for Lane considering both Ragan and Brittney have wins in different competitions. However, that move away from his alliance could be the move of the game and earn respect from the jury. If Lane does switch from the Brigade he could be the house guest to beat. My gut feeling is that Lane will stick to his alliances and dump Brittney if one of the Brigade members does win the upcoming Head of Household. If Brittney or Ragan wins the HOH, look for Lane to switch alliances quickly if he plays smart.
What might happen is Lane and Enzo team up to get rid of Hayden because of his two HOH wins. Either way, Lane has the position and power to control the game from this point on. For that, reason, he will have a huge target on his back. Perhaps Brittney will turn against Lane once she finds out his position really and truthfully is with the Brigade. It will be interesting to see what Brittney does in terms of reactions when she finds out this vital info from Ragan.
What about Ragan? Ragan is probably the best competitor left in the house. Ragan has consistently been in the top two or three of competitions but now it seems he is nearly alone in the house without any alliances. That makes him a major target for the upcoming week on Big Brother 12. Ragan needs to survive just one more week in my opinion to cruise to the final two. This week will be a huge one for Ragan. It is almost inevitable he will be on the block unless he wins Head of Household. Brittney could provide the only exception if she puts up Hayden and Enzo. Ragan would almost assuredly be sent home if he is on the block-unless he is up against Brittney. In that case, I believe Enzo and Hayden would cast Brittney off for fear of her alliance with Lane. The biggest factor for Ragan is whether he decides to share the information on the Brigade with Brittney and how the two play it.
So what should happen on Big Brother 12? The possibilities are endless. If Ragan survives this week, I think he is a strong favorite to win the overall title. The Brigade will perhaps turn against Lane and Brittney in that situation. If Brittney can manipulate Lane into swapping sides, the future is bright for her. She would ultimately win the overall competition if she is up against Lane-who hasn’t won much of anything. That could change if Lane wins a few competitions down the stretch. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out on Big Brother 12. I think America would like to see Ragan win the competition after watching him play saboteur so well. I don’t think Enzo deserves it yet-he seems to be gliding along without hope of winning any competitions. That leaves Hayden, Lane and Brittney. I think Brittney, if she can convince Lane to swap sides, will deservedly be the winner if she makes the final two–unless she is up against Ragan. But that’s a huge if. Brittney needs to secure Ragan and Lane if she wants an appearance in the final two-and that certainly isn’t out of the question.
So here are my final Big Brother 12 predictions and odds. I’d have to list Hayden as my current favorite to win BB 12. Why? Hayden has won several competitions and is the strongest player of the Brigade. For that, I list Hayden as a 2-1 favorite. I believe Ragan is the next strongest player but he could be ousted this week. If not, look out.
Ragan is my second choice at 3-1. Brittney and Lane are both even at 4-1. I list Enzo as my longest of long shots at 10-1. Enzo could change those odds dramatically with a few wins down the stretch. I don’t think Enzo would get the vote of many jury members if he does make the final two. Perhaps Rachael and Brendon would give him votes if he were up against Brittney or Ragan out of spite. That’s not typically the way votes go in the Big Brother household. Depending on how he gets there, Enzo could also have votes from Brigade members Lane and Hayden. Let’s just say it’s highly unlikely Enzo will be there at the end. That’s why I have him at the underdog in the field. That’s it for my Big Brother 12 predictions and odds. We’ll see how it plays out on CBS in the coming weeks.
