Offered every other Friday starting in September, the BIG MOVIES for LITTLE KIDS program still has three more free outdoor movie nights scheduled for this season, finishing with a double feature on Friday, November 5th.
The BIG MOVIES program also hosts indoor movies every Monday at the Cobble Hill Cinemas, which sadly is not free, but at $6.50 is still a pretty good deal and loads of fun for the little ones. And for those BIG kids out there, do be aware that you need to be accompanied by a minor at least 2 years of age.
The first film in this series, Spirited Away (2003) screened on September 24th to much delight.
The next offering, The Muppet Movie (1979), scheduled for October 8th, should be enjoyable for kids and the adults who will remember seeing it in theatres back when they were kids.
On October 22nd features the classic Pinocchio (1940).
The outdoor portion of the Big Movies series finishes on Friday November 5th, with a double feature of Red Balloon (1956), 35 minutes long, and White Mane (1953), 47 minutes.
The indoor screenings continue every other Monday through December until the 20th at Cobble Hill Cinemas. Check the website for the complete schedule.
All of the outdoor movies begin at 6:30pm at the Toren, located at 150 Myrtle Ave, at Flatbush Ave.
(The Big Movies For Little Kids program is sponsored in part by The Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and is administered by The Brooklyn Arts Council.)
