Do Bottle Tops work? I recently purchased a set of Bottle Tops, which are an As Seen on TV product and was excited to try them out. Bottle Tops are an attachment you snap on to a soda or other similar size can that basically turns the can into a resealable bottle.
Bottle Tops look like the top portion of a bottle, with a snap-off lid, and a ridge that grabs the soda can. Advertisements for the products, as seen on TV and in print, say the lids are leak proof, which keeps an open can of soda from going flat, and from spilling.
As a big soda drinker, those are two things I was looking for, which made the decision to purchase this product an easy one. I don’t usually drink an entire can of soda in one sitting, and it was hard to take an open can of soda places for fear of spilling.
Although my Bottle Tops arrived in the mail on a cold evening, I was so excited to try them out, I immediately popped open a can of soda and fit one of the lids on. It was a little tough getting it to snap on, but I took that as a good sign that the seal would be tight enough to prevent leaking.
I took just one sample sip from the newly-topped soda, then put it back into the refrigerator for the night. The next morning, I took my Bottle Topped can out and took another sip to see if it had passed the overnight test, and was still carbonated.
It passed that test with flying colors, as well as a late afternoon test as well. In the refrigerator for almost 24 hours, my soda was as tasty and bubbly as if I had just opened it up.
The next test I didn’t perform until all the soda was gone, in case the Bottle Top failed. I filled the soda can up with water, then held it upside down, shook it, twisted it, rolled it, and tried to simulate everything I thought I might subject a can of soda to as I took it with me wherever I went. Again the Bottle Top passed with flying colors.
My Bottle Tops are brand new, so I can’t speak to their durability, but fresh out of the package they are everything they were promised to be, which is everything I wanted and needed.
If you’d like to give a can all the benefits of a bottle, this is a great way to do it
