For my birthday I was given a boxed gift set of Brandani Inox Italian Style Non-Stick colored cutlery and a glass onion chopping board. All my friend know how much I love to cook, and also that good quality products, make for a happy cook.
So when I opened the box there were 2 knives, and underneath the onion shaped chopping board. I carefully lifted out the knives and looked at them.
The first one is purple in color, and measures nine and a half inches, with a four and three quarter inch blade. It is three quarters of an inch at it’s widest part. In a darker purple color it has ‘Brandani Inox Italian style’ printed on the blade near the handle end. The handle is purple and white.
The second knife is pink and measures eight inches in length, with a four inch blade, and is one and three quarter inches at it’s widest part. Again it has the ‘Brandani’ logo etched into the blade. The top edge of the blade is serrated. The handle is a darker pink with white.
From here I checked out the glass onion chopping board. It is the shape of an onion, and measures thirteen and a half inches by eleven inches. Looking down on it you would think that it is an onion cut in half. You can see all the lines of the sections of the onion. It is almost white in the middle, and a light, and deep pink towards the outside. Turning it over it is white on the bottom, and has four tiny pieces of glass, so that it stays in place.
I have had this set for eight months now as I wanted to use it on a daily basis, over a long period of time to see how it stands up.
The chopping board has remained perfect. I have used it daily and every time I chop my vegetables, meat, bread, or whatever I am using on it, I give it a good clean, and then it sits back on my counter top. This is so much prettier than a wooden one, or a white plastic one.
The knives are non-stick and made of stainless steel. Even though I have a complete set of Chef’s knives, I have been using these to chop, slice and dice, everything in sight. They have both performed well. On my paring knife I have 3 small places where the purple has gone off, and 2 places on the pink one. These hardly notice, and proves how well they are made.
From the owner’s manual:
“Line of Brandani last generation knives in stainless steel, lined in resin powder suitable for foodstuffs.
No oxidation of foodstuffs on cutting, high level of hygiene.
Greatest cutting ease.
Shock resistant and heat proof up to 260 degrees C.
Suitable for dishwashers.
Anatomically designed handle in ultra-light non-slip polypropylene, heat resistant up to 120 degrees C.”
I really enjoy using these knives because they have a better grip, and design than my other knives. I have never sharpened them, and they are still like razors. I won’t allow my husband near them, as they are my two favorite knives.
