Are we on the verge of boldly going where no man has gone before?
NASA has been contacted by media sources at Fox News regarding a possible 100 year mission to a planet that could inhabit life. Or it could be that NASA wish to Terraform a planet somewhere beyond our Solar System.
News reports on Fox News’ Website suggest that NASA could be covering up a possible future mission to one of the recently discovered planets, via a massive Starship. So the TV Series and Movies of Star Trek might not just be Science Fiction, but part of future Science fact.
It would be a bold step for NASA the American Space Agency, but when one thinks about it rationally surely a trip to the outer Heavens was always going to be on the cards at some point. And surely the intention of NASA Executives right from the start, so it should come as no surprise if one day in the near future NASA make a statement to the fact of the suggested Starship’s existence.
However unlike the hit TV Series Star Trek, humanity does not possess the capability to move objects at Warp Speed, well at least if we can then the public do not know about it. Although some Science Officials have mentioned Hyperdrive Systems being tested out in Australia, apparently with the ability to move aircraft at hypersonic speeds. So without the ability to move at Warp Factor 6 NASA suggest it would take at least 100 years to get anywhere near a planet capable of sustaining life.
With that plans would have to be made for Crew of a Starship possibly never to return to Earth, which would bring about many ethical issues.
Perhaps it would be suggested that a Starship would be like those in Star Trek where whole families become part of the mission. This would not be so unethical and quite acceptable.
Another problem would be communications, potentially this is a bit of a black hole, because of the speed radio signal and communications travel through space.
All in all Fox News have touched on something that is possibly very real and intriguing, suggesting that NASA could actually be looking for more private funding to help them fund the $10 Billion Starship mission and subsequent research.
The Fox News report does make fascinating reading and goes some way to helping the public understand what could be being hidden from view, for the obvious need for secrecy just now. But as it has been suggested NASA could be more forthcoming with information in the near future.
Anybody who has an interest in potentially funding a Starship Mission should seek to contact NASA, as your help could bring about an important and historical event in human history.
