The latest celebrity voted off Dancing with the Stars wasn’t Bristol Palin. Despite Bristol’s low scores from the judges (this was the third time in 8 weeks team ‘Ballin was on the bottom of the leader board) Palin was safe from elimination.
Bristol and Mark made an appearance this week on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. When asked by Ellen what it feels like to be on the bottom each week Bristol and Mark said they were getting use to it. Mark said, “We just go out and have fun”.
When asked by the talk show host what they needed to do to bring up their scores, again Mark answered stating Bristol still needed to work on her performance. “Bristol’s technique is good from the neck down, she always knows the steps”.
And Mark’s statement proved to be true for the teams’ first dance on Dancing with the Stars that evening. (The Ellen Show appearance was taped the previous week) Bristol and Mark danced the Argentine Tango and according to Judge Bruno, “It was executed perfectly”. Carrie Ann told Bristol, “That was the most intensity I’ve seen from you.”
Len said,” the lifts were good, well placed, but you (Bristol) lacked intensity”. Team ‘Ballin received three 8’s from the judges.
Dancing with the Stars week eight was Instant Dance Night and for the second dance Bristol and Mark danced the Samba. According to Len the Samba is a difficult dance because of its’ many rhythm changes. Even thought the team lost their way and were off beat Bristol and Mark received a 23 from the judges.
At the end of the night Bristol and Mark were again on the bottom with a point total of 47, one point higher then Kurt and Anna.
For the fourth week on Dancing with the Stars the team with the lowest score was not eliminated. Instead MVP Kurt Warner was sent home. Next week is the semi finals. With four teams remaining it should prove interesting to see if Bristol and Mark make it through to the finals.
