Britney Spears’ former bodyguard has filed a suit of sexual harassment against the diva pop star, according to TMZ. Spears, who denies the allegations, is a prime target for this type of suit because of her history.
In court documents, which read more like an erotic magazine story, Fernando Flores has accused the diva of all sorts of sexual misconduct. With the numerous incidents he is reporting, this sounds as if it has taken place over a good period of time. He claims he was “traumatized” by these behaviors.
Flores claims he also witnessed child abuse from Spears during his time in her employ. Unfortunately, we have witnessed Spears put her child in jeopardy when she had her baby on her lap while driving, as described in an article on MSN. Articles such as this one appeared in the media across the globe, and these have worked in showing she has a history of not always using good judgment when it comes to being a mother.
Spears has a history of odd behaviors, and this type of behavior may come back to haunt her if this lawsuit does make it to a courtroom.
Her hair-shaving days and her checking in and out of rehab, as reported in People Magazine a few years back, were just a few of the incidents that made head line news. People remember these strange actions exhibited by the entertainer, and if this case does ever come before a jury, it is going to be hard to find people who have not heard at least one of the many odd things she has done. It is hard not to remember we all had a front row seat to her demise through the media.
Flores accuses Spears of deliberately exposing herself to him. On one occasion, he alleges that Spears beckoned him to her room and she stood their stark naked. After a pause from both parties, Flores goes on to say she wanted him to bring her a couple of bottles of 7up.
Spears is accused by Flores of deliberately dropping her keys in front of him and then bending over while in a dress and wearing no underwear to pick them up, exposing her pubic area.
Spears denies these allegations and calls this “another case of someone trying to make a name for themselves.” The burden of proof is on the part of Flores, when taking this case to court, but it may be Spears’ history that will work against her when it comes to a jury of human beings deciding her fate.
Even though you are asked to leave your previous knowledge of a defendant at the door when walking into a courtroom, there is always a chance some will not be able to do that. Chances are, as with most Hollywood cases of this type, it will go away “quickly and quietly.”
