There is no denying that right now, the anticipation for Britney Spears’ next album is pretty high. There are so many rumors out about the untitled-album as of now that it seems like there’s a new one every day. There have even been producers claiming to be producing/song writing the upcoming album, but her team later confirming they were never involved in the project in the first place.
Maybe everyone is excited because not only will this be Britney’s seventh album but it’s said to be different from anything she’s ever done before. One Republic singer Ryan Tedder, who also is a song-writer, told E! News he’s been to a writing camp recently, all for Britney’s upcoming album. When asked what kind of sound he and Britney would be doing for her upcoming album, he said, “It’s mind-bendy and trippy, I applaud the label for saying, ‘We’re not going to do what’s always been done.’ I think Britney’s such an innovator. She needs to be in the forefront, you know what I mean? You can’t come out with something sounding like someone else.” Sounds interesting
Pharrell, who helped produce Britney’s 2001 smash hit ‘Slave 4 U’, has also said he’s onboard for the new album. He recently said he and Britney are “going back and forth”.
Another big producer/song-writer Sean Garrett has come out saying he is focused on Britney’s upcoming album. Garrett said, “I totally respect Britney’s privacy, so I have to keep it low … But I’m in a total creative zone, and I’m all about creating the hits. I’m producing some serious bombs. It’s going to be a hot,”
And most recently, the executive producer of Brit’s album, Dr. Luke told Billboard that the album is going to get “grimier”, whatever that means? Dr. Luke, who has produced hits for Katy Perry and Kesha, said, “She’s been around for a while and always delivers, so there’s a lot for us to live up to, I want [the sound] to get harder in some ways, and maybe a little more deep into electronic — grimier.”
Dr. Luke says the album should be out by spring of 2011. Which means some new Britney music is right around the corner for us. With so many talented producers and song writers onboard, it sounds like this album will definitely meet its high expectations. But is it too late for a new Britney album? Will YOU buy Brit’s new album?
