The Brooklyn Paper’s “Police Blotter” reports 12 crimes for seven days, (Oct. 11 – 17th), and one on October 7th for the area. The quantity is average; nearly two crimes per day.
Violent crime is about average, too, nearly half, (6).
Watch out, good people, for a violent creep who jumps folks from behind and chokes them. He did this twice (Oct. 11th and 12th). He punched one victim in the face. This goon got nothing, twice! We need a description of this menace.
The other four (4) violent crimes were:
Oct. 11th – A gun hold-up at Pacific and Nevins — 12:30 am. The victim’s screams scared the robber away with — nothing! Way to go!
Yay! Three for three! If the goons get nothing, they’ll stop.
Oct. 7th – A mugging at Bergen St near Fourth Ave — 4 pm. The assailant pushed the victim up against a wall by ramming his forearm into the victim’s neck. He got $30.
Oct. 13th – A mugging at Wyckoff between Hoyt and Bond — 9:30 pm. The perp had what appeared to be a taser. He got $40.
Oct. 17th – A mugging at Fulton and Jay Sts — 6 pm. Two thugs swiped a $1,600 chain from the victim’s neck with a razor.
The non-violent crimes were typical except that three were big hauls.
10/13 – A patient stole $2,840 from his shrink’s office.
10/14 – $18,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a home on State St.
10/14 – The Prince Hotel on Schemerhorn got jacked for 33 TV’s and $50k worth of copper piping.
