Given the state of our city’s finances, Buena Vista Park, like many park and recreation facilities need help from local residents. Whether you have had the opportunity to visit Buena Vista Park or not, you can be sure that its adds immensely to our great city.
Buena Vista Park sits between Haight Ashbury and Lower Haight. It is so steep that it practically goes straight up. Buena Vista Park has there for many runners, hikers, joggers, tennis players and photographers to name with a few, with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the rest of the city.
I was there today and all over the park were advertisements for help with tree planting on November 6, between from 9am to noon. The park and recreation staff need your help to plant over 100 trees and shrubs. These trees are important not only for maintaining the park’s beauty, but for managing the flow of rainwater as well.
The advertisements were everywhere so they really need your help. Jointly-sponsored by Buena Vista Neighborhood Association, Friends of Buena Vista Park and SF Park and Recreation.
