The good days for ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” may be over. After Tuesday night’s shocking elimination of frontrunner Brandy and her partner Maks Chmerkovskiy, viewers are left scratching their heads- and fuming mad.
Bristol Palin and her partner Mark Ballas know they shouldn’t still be there. This has nothing to do with politics or popularity- let’s face it, what fan base did Bristol have before this?
Say what you want about her mother, but Bristol herself had virtually no fan base (in comparison, the prematurely ousted Audrina Patridge has a huge MTV fan base and over a million followers on Twitter, proving that a fan base means nothing if your fans don’t have your back).
Some can contend that Bristol is this season’s underdog and that’s why people are voting for her. Other suspect it is something much more calculated.
But in light of Bristol’s stunning land in the “DWTS” finals, fans are demanding to know just how the votes are tabulated. Bristol and Mark have been in the bottom 2 for an unheard of seven weeks. How is it possible that they made it to the finals?
The “Vote for the Worst” guys live for this stuff.
“DWTS” needs to take a cue from “American Idol” and institute a Judge’s Save for Season 12. Brandy should have been spared last night and Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno should have been the ones to do it.
Meanwhile, more controversy swirls as Bristol and her younger sister willow got caught with their Facebook open. Their nasty exchange with some fellow Facebookers- leaked online for the world to see, courtesy of The Huffington Post – will most definitely not help Bristol’s cause next week. In fact, the Facebook trash talk could be the cause of Bristol’s demise.
You can bet one thing- Jennifer Grey’s fans will be dialing and texting it up next week!
The “:Dancing With the Stars” finale airs on November 22nd and 23rd on ABC.
