Most people cringe when they are forced to address the idea of having bacteria or fungus (yeasts) in their bodies. Guess what? Every human body on the planet has bacteria and yeast in their gut. It is natural. What is not a natural healthy situation, is having an imbalance.
Normally yeast is kept in check by good bacteria such as probiotics found in yogurt and non pasteurized milk products. ( most Americans never ingest non pasteurized milk) These good bacteria then compete with yeast for food and space. This in turn hinders the production and spread of the fungus to unhealthy levels.
If you live in the United States of America, live the American lifestyle, and eat the American diet, even to a small degree, you most likely are suffering from chronic yeast overgrowth. If left untreated for even short periods of time, it can develop into a chronic systemic situation. People who have let this escalate to this point, have the toxins these little yeast’s expel, in their blood.
There are causes that you have no control over, most of the time, and these are instances of over exposure to environmental toxins, pesticides and hidden sugars in foods. Combine this with chronic stress, and or overuse of antibiotics, and you inadvertently killed the good bacteria you needed to keep these yeasts in check. If you have had even a single bout of food poisoning, flu,or other illnesses, you may have been left with a gut that is imbalanced. This can last for years and even turn into a type of blood poisoning. This is called candida septicemia. It is where your entire body is affected, and it can even invade every organ. This is nothing to play around with. Every human needs to be sure they have this under control.
You would never dream of not keeping your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, or your blood sugar in check. It only makes sense to keep your gut in good working order, also.
If you know what to look for, you can avoid allowing your body to be sick for years. Most people do not realize they are chronically sick until it gets really bad, usually to the point of chronic fatigue or overweight issues which seem to never go away.
At least 15 million American women have this condition called candidiasis. Men also have the condition. The middle age spread may, much of the time, be connected to yeast overgrowth as well as a fluctuation in hormones. It is probable that yeast can contribute to hormonal imbalances, because we know stomach fat contributes to hormone fluctuations.
Here are some of the symptoms that are the most obvious that show that you have this condition.
Fatigue mild and to the point of being chronic.
Weight gain of an average of 32.5 pounds but this is not exact for every person. (If you are having weight issues, you need to read on.)
Intense cravings. Usually for carbohydrates and or sugars.
Sinus problems (Sometimes this comes and goes, but usually most continue to have sinus congestion on a regular basis. Foods that grow yeast can cause sinuses to go nuts. You may think you have allergies. If you get healthier for a while, the sinuses may not be a bother for a while, further confusing the situation.)
Often get colds or the flu. If you are the one who catches everything coming and going, you probably have candidiasis.
Women may have yeast infections often, as described by their physician. Antibiotics will only further increase the growth of yeast. It is important to be sure the infection is actually bacterial in nature before you take antibiotics. If the doctor is unsure, ask for further tests. If your doctor does not see the reason in that, find another doctor.
Headaches(some people start getting Migraines)
Muscle and joint pain
Some of the lesser known sicknesses, and bothersome things, connected to yeast overgrowth.
Hearing your heartbeat really loud in your ears. Most notice this when they are trying to sleep. At times it can seem like ringing.
The symptoms of food allergies or environmental sensitivities can mimic those of candidiasis or visa versa.
Fingernail or toenail fungus (you can treat and prevent this without chemicals, by using tea tree oil.)
Diaper rash (combination of food allergies/candidiasis; a mother who has candidiasis can pass this to the child in the womb.)
Numbness in the face or extremities
White spots on the tongue in the mouth
Kidney and bladder infections
Depression (This really is a symptom of this, especially when you get chronic. Don’t be too quick to dismiss it, however there is a wide range of other things that can also cause depression.)
Hyperactivity (If you have a hyperactive child, they could be suffering. They need to be taken off of sugar slowly until they are completely off of it and eat fresh foods, whole fruit, salads or finger foods such as veggie sticks and a dip like humus,is a good place to start. Pair this with protein sources like fish , beef, chicken etc., but leave out the bread for a couple weeks.)
These are just some conditions that are caused by-or that yeast contributes to. If you get the overgrowth of yeast under control, in most cases you will see these conditions disappear or lessen.
It is so important to figure out if you have this condition. Most medical doctors are into prescribing drugs such as antibiotics and are not “read up” on this condition. If you need to see a doctor and want to know if you have this condition, I recommend you find a doctor who is educated in how to heal the body naturally. Antibiotics and drugs only worsen this condition.
Yeast, when they multiply begin to pollute your system, weakening your immune system. To put it frankly, they compete for the food that the good bacteria live on, then “poop” in your system, creating toxins. If it becomes systemic you will get very sick. It may not all happen at once. It does take diligence and commitment to change your lifestyle to recover and get your health back. You can recover!
Getting older does not have to mean we live with the “sins” of our youthful eating habits, toxin exposure, or even antibiotic over use, forever! You can heal your body. Never accept it by saying, “well I guess I’m just getting old”.
I am going to be talking more about this subject, giving directions on how to heal your body of this condition once and for all. I will be publishing recipes and giving further instructions in articles. Check with me for future publications by subscribing, it’s free.
15+ years experience with the condition personally,of which over the past 5 years-have found healing. You can too!
