If you are looking for a unique costume to wear to a Halloween party this year, look no further. Zombie prom queen is one thing, but crazy, scorned, telekinetic prom queen Carrie is a whole new ballgame. It is highly unlikely that you will find anyone else dressed up as Carrie White at your Halloween party and you will still be able to look sexy because the blood will make your dress stick to you like a wet t-shirt.

Carrie White Halloween Costume: Clothing
The clothing part of your Carrie White Halloween costume is easy. All you need is a long white or light pink dress that you don’t mind getting fake blood all over. Choose a dress that is clingy. Carrie’s dress was made of silk in the movie, but honestly you could easily go with something cotton or another type of material. Throw on a cheap pair of white shoes; you can pick up a pair of dye-able white shoes at Payless for relatively cheap that would work perfectly for this costume.
Carrie White Halloween Costume: Hair
You don’t need to be too fancy when styling your hair for this costume, keep in mind you will be dumping fake blood all over it. You can leave it straight or you can curl it a bit at the ends, but the fake blood might mess up any styling you do. Carrie had blonde hair so if you do not or if you just don’t want to get your hair covered in fake blood, you can purchase this blonde wig from Amazon that only costs $8.88.
Carrie White Halloween Costume: Makeup
Carrie came from a really religious and sheltered household. She made her own dress in the movie and wore very little on her face. All you really will need is a light coat of foundation and or powder, a dusting of a pale eye shadow, Vaseline on your eyelashes instead of mascara and put some more Vaseline on your lips to give them a high gloss. Don’t forget that you will have fake blood on your face also so you don’t need to worry about making sure your makeup looks perfect.
Carrie White Halloween Costume: Accessories
Start with your tiara. You can pick up a cheap plastic one or Amazon carries one that looks very similar to Carrie White’s prom queen tiara called the Princess Tiara for $11.99 if you would like a more authentic look. Next you will need to pick up a bouquet of white and/or pink roses from your local WalMart or grocery store. Tie a big pink bow around the handle. You may want to put a corsage on your wrist, but this is not a necessary part of the costume. Once you are completely dressed from head to toe, have your hair and makeup ready, and accessories in place it is time to apply the fake blood.
You can either pick up fake blood at WalMart or check out this YouTube tutorial below called How to Make Fake Blood:
Go outside and have one of your friends pour the fake blood all over you. Make sure it is someone you trust who will be nice about it. You want a lot of you, but you should also be able to see and not have your face and dress completely drenched.
