With Jimmy Johnson voted off last week from the Espada tribe, let’s see what the elder tribe has to offer now. There is certainly conflict between Jimmy T and Marty as they jockey for position as leader of this tribe.
On the La Flor tribe Brenda is trying to decipher the map with the help of NaOnka and they find it together but NaOnka considers it hers and hers alone. She feels that she can bully anyone; even someone with one leg. She confronts Kelly B and tells her how she does not like her and even tells the camera that she better keep her leg away from the fire.
The Espada tribe decides that they need a leader and this is coming from Marty the control freak who wants Tyrone to be the leader. Jimmy T would also like to be the leader, but concedes to Tyrone — for now.
For the immunity and reward challenge, everyone is blindfolded except the caller who directs them to retrieve items of various sizes and shapes. The younger tribe decides to use the medallion and gets two items to start and it is obvious they do not need any help. The younger tribe wins immunity and reward. Now someone else will go home from the older tribe and it is obvious that there is no leadership here. The person who seems to be least to follow directions is Jimmy T, but the tribal council will determine who goes.
La Flor won cooking utensils, fishing gear and a tarp to keep them dry! Chase found the clue in the tackle box and kept it hidden. He told Brenda, but she told him the truth about her and Nay finding the idol and that it belongs to Nay. Chase was told not to say anything to Nay because then both he and Brenda will be her targets.
At tribal council the older tribe felt that they did their best but they lost. Jimmy T asked for a chance to lead and admitted that he would take the time to follow, even though he wants to be a leader. So Marty got his wish and Jimmy T was voted out even though Dan has a problem with his knees and sits out challenges because he cannot run in mud. Hello — — you are in the rainforest — — there is nothing but mud. So the elder tribe keeps the wounded horse and evicts the guy who gets food and has plenty of physical abilities, but a big mouth that they do not like. I expect this tribe to self-destruct in the next few weeks. Marty thinks he is the puppet master, but he does not look at the big picture.
