The new Prospect Heights branch of Eton, at 635 Vanderbilt between St. Marks and Prospect pl, has been open for several weeks now and it looks like its going to be a huge success, maybe even more so than its Carroll Gardens older sibling, if possible.
Word that Eton was coming to the neighborhood has buzzed for a few months. Brownstoner reported of the coming joint back in August with a photo of the menu in the window, and residents did not mask their excitement.
As of October they are up and running and reviews are good. One especially appreciated aspect of this new Eton location is the inclusion of a back room to accommodate significantly more seating.
Prospect Heights Patch sat down and talked with Eton founder/owner Eton Chan, 31, which you can read about online here.
Check out what the PH Patch called an “eclectic mix of Hawaiian-inspired Asian cuisine” at let us know what you think. View menu here.
Especially recommended at the new location are the dumplings and Hawaiian shaved ice.
