With Charlie Sheen hospitalized yesterday, the rumors quickly flew. After Charlie Sheen was hospitalized in New York, the worst was obviously assumed. Given the star’s troubled history and various problems over the years, this latest setback could have been about anything. Since he trashed a New York City hotel room, drugs or some kind of personal trouble was suspected as a factor. Although Sheen is no longer hospitalized, reports of drug use are getting out there as a cause.
According to Radar Online, the Two And A Half Men star tested positive for cocaine yesterday. The website also claims that he destroyed his hotel room after he thought that a prostitute stole his wallet.
If this got Sheen hospitalized, absolutely no one would be surprised. His use of drugs and prostitutes has been notorious throughout his career, and has added to his raucous reputation – which is often made light of in his work.
But this latest incident ended with Sheen being released from a New York hospital last night. He is headed back to Los Angeles to resume taping for Two And A Half Men, while his reps deny any drug use. Celebuzz quotes his representative as saying that it was nothing but “an allergic reaction” to medication.
However, Radar Online claims that while Sheen was hospitalized, he went through a “battery of tests,” with one coming up positive for cocaine. His latest rehab stint only ended two months ago, and he was just about to end his probation over domestic battery charges.
The source for Radar Online stated that the “allergic reaction” defense is laughable, though it reflects on how Sheen is “a big meal ticket.” He remains that way in spite of his constant off-screen problems, although compared to his past, this incident is relatively minor.
Still, with Sheen hospitalized so soon after his latest scandal ended, it serves as yet another step back. If he is off the wagon already, it probably won’t be long until something more serious happens with him, as has been the pattern for years.
Of course, it is easier to believe these new rumors given his history – although that doesn’t make them true. The allergic reaction claims might sound ridiculous, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. When it comes to Sheen, it is hard to separate the most wild and crazy rumors from the truth, even when some of the crazy stuff is true.
Nevertheless, since Sheen is no longer in the hospital, he is now set to return to work – although he is under a more watchful eye now, as always.
