Day camps and summer camps in Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding areas offer a plethora of activities for all children’s age groups from kindergarten to high school.

ACAC offers full and half day camps for kindergarten through the 9th grade children. The Pee-Wee Camp is for children kindergarten through 2nd grade. Junior camp is also available for this age group. Their activities include arts and crafts, the water park, events and special guests.
Adventure Camp offers recreational and educational activities for children in the 3rd through fifth grades.
Voyager Camp is geared for 6th through 8th graders and consists of field trips to local businesses such as radio stations and newspapers. Nature walks is also popular. The leadership Corp for 8th and 9th graders offers a wide variety of skills and activities. CPR and first aid training is given to this age group.
Sports, cooking, crafts and many activities are available fro any of the age groups. Sports camps are available during the summer.

Summer Day Camp is held June 18th through August 3rd at the following locations.
The Covenant School at 175 Hickory Street and Greer Elementary School at 190 Lambs Road.
Camp hours are 9 am to 4 pm.
Their costs are reasonable and some financial assistance is available.

Camp Holiday Trails serves children and their families who have special medical needs or chronic illnesses.
Holiday Trails offers one and two week residential camps for children during the summer and three and four day family camp weekends for parents and caregivers during the Spring and Fall. Year round youth and family camps are offered in partnership with several advocacy groups.

Triple C offers camps for kindergarten through the 10th grade for 11 weeks which run from June 6th to August 19.
Some overnight camps are occasionally scheduled. They also offer single day and spring break programs.
They have been in business since 1989 and offer a tremendous variety of skills and learning opportunities for children.

Enrollment can be done by the week but it is a day camp. No residential camps are offered..

Camp Friendship is a residential summer camp offering 1 and 2 week sessions from June through August.
