Centerpieces can be used for a wide variety of occasions. Perhaps the most common include wedding receptions, birthday parties and anniversary parities. No matter the occasion, a centerpiece adds character and elegance to an event. If your favorite colors are chocolate brown and Tiffany blue, you can introduce these colors in several different centerpiece designs.
Candle and Flowers
The candle and flower centerpiece design is a traditional choice that will add a touch of sophistication to any gathering. To create this centerpiece with the desired color scheme, select a Tiffany blue candle. Make sure this candle features a base diameter of at least six-inches and is not enclosed within a glass frame. As for flowers, the Dahlia ‘Karma Choc’ is an appropriate choice as it features a dark chocolate center and a velvet, almost blood-red flower peddle tips. This flower features numerous peddles for a full and elegant
appearance. While this flower is not solely chocolate brown, it will add a sultry appearance to the Tiffany blue candle. Arrange these flowers in a circular design around the candle to complete this centerpiece.
Those on a budget may not be able to afford flowers for every table, thus a candle-only centerpiece can be a visually stunning and cost-efficient option. The goal of this centerpiece is to purchase sets of five candles in three different sizes: 2 to 5 inches, 3 to 6 inches and 6 to 10 inches tall. Group these candles so the tallest is located in the center while the small and medium candles are placed on both sides of the candle. If you were to look at this centerpiece from above, the placement would look like the five dots found on rolling dice. Mix your colors in such a way as to emphasize the color you want to dominate the arrangement.
Centerpieces do not have to be dull or lifeless. Bring a centerpiece to life while still incorporating your main color scheme, chocolate brown and Tiffany blue, by using a fish bowl centerpiece as an eccentric and lively way to brighten up a gathering. Start off by buying a standard fish bowl. Instead of using standard aquarium gravel, buy Tiffany blue and chocolate brown stones or marbles, and mix them to suit your taste into the bowl. Purchase goldfish from a pet shop and place the fish in the bowl. The orange color of the goldfish will highlight the brown and blue stones nicely. If children, or curious adults, are at the event, place a small packet of fish food on the table so guests can feed the fish.
