Starting November 26-28 and December 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 21-23, 26 and 28-30, 2010, from 4- 9 p.m. The last ticket sales are at 8:30 p.m for Village Only tickets. This is an old-fashion holiday that you can always cherish.
Huckleberry Railroad train
You must ride the Huckleberry Train. Christmas departures are daily (except Drive-Through Viewing Days): 5-5:50 , 6:40, 7:30p.m. Additional trains, if necessary depart at 8:20,9:10, 10:00 p.m.
“Drive-thru Only”Don’t forget the “Drive Thru Only.” This is especially nice if you have small babies or little ones, because you do not have to get out of your car. You just drive through and see the many lights. They are fascinating. Children just love it. Another great thing about this is the cost is only $5.00 per vehicle. So you can bring several children. Note. It cannot accommodate buses). The entire village is aglow with colored lights. You will be fascinated and captivated by the beautiful lighting.
Colwell Opera House
This opera house has live entertainment and Santa Clause talks with the children. Opening night festivities include fireworks, live music, craft for kids, and model train displays. These are just a few of the festivities.
Ladies’ Night Out
Monday, November 15, 2010 is Ladies’ Night Out. You will receiving a shopping experience like no other and get a sneak peek at Christmas at Crossroads Holiday Magic. The time is 5-9 p.m. and it just costs $5.00. This sensational shopping experience will include wonderful food samples, demonstrations, and free gifts. These are just a few of what you will get in the shopping experience. Note that parking is FREE.
The Crossroads Café is open from 4 p.m-9 p.m. when the Village is open to the public. Some of the Christmas Menu includes Gilled Cheese $2.12, Ham & Cheese $2.12, Soup & Sandwich $3.71, and Hot Cider $1.59. These are just a few of the items you will see on their Christmas Menu.
Country Tea Party
The Country Tea Party is on November 27, December 4, 11, and 18, 2010. The time is 1:30 p.m. Reservations must be made before the Wednesday, prior to the tea date. This Country Tea is a cross between a formal sit-down function and a buffet. You will experience hors d’oeuvres-type finger foods in an elegant , seated environment like you have never experienced before.
General Store and Village Post Office
Be sure to shop at their General Store and Village Post Office. Can you believe that the General Store has many of the goods that families purchased 100 years ago? They also have a large selection of beautiful toys and gifts to fit your budget. Cards or letters from the there will be stamped with the Village’s postmark.
In the Village you will see skilled men and women who demonstrate their skills right in the workshop. Among some of the items you will see included, iron fireplace tools, toy trains and puzzles, and dinner bells. These are just a few of the many items that you will see. You can also pick from original designs printed by the 1860’s printing press in the Manwaring Building and Print Shop.
