College football scores week 4 coverage is almost complete. The college football scores week 4 schedule has been an interesting one with Miami beating Pittsburgh back on Thursday, and TCU beating SMU on Friday, things were going just as everyone thought they would heading into Saturday. That’s not how they ended though, as Pac-10 UCLA smashed Texas easily, Stanford crushed Notre Dame at Notre Dame, and Arkansas almost upended Alabama.
Some of the late games are still going, but it is already quite obvious that the week 4 college football scores are going to shift the rankings when they come out on Sunday. We will certainly see Texas fall, and there is a chance that Alabama could be overtaken if the voters don’t like how they beat Arkansas. Utah should also get some more respect in the next polls, but this could be the last stand for Big East leader West Virginia for a few weeks at least.
Texas has to be embarrassed with how they played against UCLA, and losing 34-12 at home is going to set them back quite a bit this year. Ohio State on the other hand, served notice that their offense can do quite a bit with a 73-20 win over Eastern Michigan, and the Wisconsin absolutely crushed Austin Peay by a score of 70-3. Look for Wisconsin to find a lot more support after this weekend, and they could easily become a top 10 team in the upcoming polls.
Further down in the games, Nevada went to Brigham Young and beat them 27-13, giving them a very strong resume win that should put them into both top 25 polls next week. Michigan also crushed Bowling Green, proving that the Big Ten definitely has quite a few teams in the conference this year that can put up a lot of points in a hurry, and that could make the route to the championship game much tougher for Ohio State this year.
Right now the Big Ten, SEC, and Pac-10 seem to be the conferences pulling away from the pack, and they are all looking very strong with several teams that could be contending for spots in those BCS bowl games with the way things are going right now.
