San Fransisco has lots of things to do and see. Many things to see at San Fransisco are world famous. So you may be surprised to see that I am going to be recommending a visit to a place you may never have heard of in San Fransisco but that is not because its not good. I am going to have to recommend the Crepe Cafe. While you likely have never heard of the Crepe Cafe it is very likely that you have heard of where the Crepe Cafe is located at. The Crepe Cafe is located about half way down Pier 39 in San Fransisco.
While there are tons of places to ear both on Pier 39 and all along the nearby piers the Crepe Cafe is one that I am going to have to recommend. Why do I recommend the Crepe Cafe I guess you will have to read on to find out. By the way did I mention I do not like Crepes?
I know what you are thinking, why is a guy who does not like crepes suggesting I eat at a crepe place? Well the reason I do not like crepes is that my mother who is not known for her meals used to make crepes but made them with creamy white chicken stuff that I did not like, she also made them thick and uneven. The Crepe Cafe makes desert crepes and after seeing my brothers and uncles crepes I decided I would give the Crepe Cafe a chance.
My family have been fans of Trish’s Donuts until recently. So with the upset at Trish’s we had to find a new snack location on Pier 39. We were walking down the Pier when we saw the Crepe Cafe. One reason it was noticeable over all the other shops is the large number of people watching the people make crepes. Not only were a large number watching people make crepes but a large number were out the door in line to get int to buy crepes.
With such an interest in crepes beyond the other places to eat we figured the food must be worth giving a try. While the lines were long the waits were not fortunately. The crepes are made individually to your taste with options of how many ingredients you put on it as well as which of many, many ingredients to put on it. We were simple and got a chocolate. This was the first crepe I have ever had I enjoyed.
While you may expect that being on Pier 39 would mean the crepes would be expensive they were no more expensive then you would expect to pay at a mall food court for a similar food. They also had other food such as a hot chocolate which was cheaper then the Trish’s Donuts and they had whip cream for the chocolate which Trish’s did not.
While we used to have Trish’s Donuts as my families snack of choice on Pier 39 even if Trish had not gone to new bad owners I think that the Crepe Cafe would replace Trish’s Donuts as our Pier 39 snack.
