I like things I can depend on. I like reruns. I like the same joke in the same place and I like to know what to expect when I’m watching a dramatic comedy or romantic horror show. So it was with some relief that the Fall season of the CW lineup was revealed without all that much fanfare. It’s a lot of things which have been done before and a few new hits which hold some interesting promise. Here are my top 10 things I’m excited about in the CW Fall 2010 season.
Gossip Girl: My wife loves Gossip Girl and I like to veg-out while my wife is watching this light as fluff pastry of a show, Monday night at 9PM. Gossip Girl isn’t breaking much new ground but the wife loves the soap-operatic tinges of this familiar show.
One Tree Hill: Yeah, this show’s still on the air. While it remains to be seen whether or not the Tuesday at 8PM hour long block is one which needs much tinkering, the new season should be interesting.
America’s Next Top Model: Will Tyra ever end? Wednesday’s at 8PM is where you can watch and be amazed.
Vampire Diaries: This show sucks! Literally. But the recent vampire craze (though it could be done by December) is still hungry for blood.
Smallville: Hopefully this show is in its last season. That’s the hope. Tune in Friday at 8PM and find out.
Life Unexpected: This is a fun recent addition and the fact that the Tuesday 9PM time slot will be filled with it looks exciting.
Supernatural: Here’s another familiar face for the Friday at 9PM timeslot. Supernatural has done a few things right so we’ll see if it continues to do so.
Hellcats: Here’s a show for all the single guys to get excited about. Hellcats is this show about cheerleaders; the Lancer University Hellcats cheerleaders; and one young beautiful girls struggle to beat past her alcoholic parents and get that university scholarship…we’re all excited about Hellcats because it promotes higher education. Come on people; what did you think?
90210: Classic revamp of that schmaltzy show. 90210 deserves a second look on the CW fall slot.
Nikita: And to wrap up your fall 2010 CW lineup this show Nikita. Yeah, rescued from death row as a teenager this smoking hot agent is on a revenge binge for the murder of her fiancé. Very sexy.
The CW lineup for Fall 2010 looks to be a whole lot of what’s worked in the past and a couple new sexy shows. We’ll see what comes of the Fall 2010 CW lineup but the future sure looks bright.
