Recently I ordered a 5 ounce tin of Daddy Van’s Furniture Polish from Alice.com. I’ve tried aerosol furniture polishes before and was never very happy with the results because it leaves a greasy residue that I didn’t like. I was looking for something that would be good to my furniture, easy to use and not harm it.
Daddy Van’s is made with unrefined beeswax and natural emollients which are non toxic and chemically free. It is available in unscented, beeswax & lavender with sweet orange oil and beeswax & lavender. This all natural beeswax polish retails online between $10.95 and $11.95 which seems pricey but the five ounce tin lasts a long time.
I purchased the beeswax & lavender polish and the smell is wonderful. Daddy Van’s comes in a 5 ounce tin and it’s a soft paste wax. I first tried this natural polish on an old wooden chair that I picked up at a thrift shop. The wood was looking very dry but looked great after I polished it with Daddy Van’s. It moisturized the wood and gave it a soft shine.
This furniture polish is very easy to use. Just dip a soft rag or old t-shirt into the paste and apply in a circular motion to the wood. Buff with an additional soft rag. The all natural beeswax polish left everything I polished with a beautiful shine that really brought out the wood grain. Daddy Van’s has inspired me to polish all of my wood furniture, something that has never been on the top of my cleaning list!
The only con I could find with this product is that your fingers get a little greasy but even that turned out to be a plus. Just massage the beeswax into your hands and it leaves them feeling smooth. Daddy Van’s does an awesome job on all wood furniture and is safe to use around pets and children. I highly recommend it.
