The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup returns after a heated Week 2. Of course, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup wasn’t the big story of the week, thanks to Bruno and Michael Bolton. While fans and bloggers are not happy with Bruno’s extensive panning of Bolton, it didn’t stop Bolton’s elimination. There are still 10 more contestants left, so Bruno will have a new target or two to pile on today. But will the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup be reduced in a more peaceful manner on Week 3?
The actual competition has Jennifer Grey as the comfortable early favorite, after getting the highest scores two weeks running. However, many thought she should have gotten higher numbers last week, in one of the smaller controversies from last Monday. But she will get another chance to increase her lead tonight.
For Week 3, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup will move into story telling mode. The remaining 10 contestants will use the Samba, Fox Trot and Viennese Waltz as part of a full-fledged story tonight. Margaret Cho, The Situation, Florence Henderson and the other struggling dancers hope that this will give them a needed boost.
Except for Bolton, much of the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup showed an improvement last week, at least in the judges scores. Audrina Patridge and Bristol Palin shot up the standings, and look to continue that momentum for the long run. Brandy and Rick Fox look to rebound after slipping a bit, while Kyle Massey will attempt to stay in range of Grey.
If the judges don’t become the story, and if the audience isn’t accused of booing Sarah Palin, then Week 3 stands to be an improvement in of itself. Despite occasionally having controversial contestants, the show itself isn’t used to this amount of controversy in one week.
The hope is that the Dancing With the Stars lineup will make less heated headlines tonight, along with Bruno and company. But with Bolton gone, Cho and The Situation are the most likely to face the judges’ wrath. However, there wasn’t as big a gap between the leader and the pretenders last week, so perhaps things will close again tonight. Yet it will take a slipup from Grey to make things truly interesting early on.
Things are still in the early going, as the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup is still establishing itself. Their story telling abilities will determine the latest pecking order, starting at 8 pm est tonight on ABC.
