The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results have become controversial. Yet the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results will be under more scrutiny than ever in the next two days. Tonight’s semifinal round will provide a telling story, as Season 11 reaches its final act. Jennifer Grey, Brandy, Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin are each one step away from the final week, as they have the mirror ball in their grasp. However, although tonight’s results may reinforce who the Dancing With the Stars lineup favorites are, it may mean little when the votes are counted tomorrow.
Heading into the semifinal round, Grey and Brandy appear to be head and shoulders above Massey and Palin. Therefore, it should make things very predictable, as a Grey vs Brandy Season 11 finale would seem to be inevitable. Yet that is not the perception at the moment.
The last several Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results have been surprising, both for who has been eliminated and for who is still alive. In particular, Bristol Palin is now the center of all things, as she remains in contention, despite heated debate as to why.
Despite her occasionally low scores, Palin has lasted longer than Audrina Patridge, Rick Fox and Kurt Warner. This has turned Season 11 into a political issue, as Republicans, Tea Partiers, and Sarah Palin fans have been credited – and blamed – for altering the competition. If they take Palin into the finals, then the battle lines will be drawn even further in this debate.
Because of all this, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup pecking order is in question. Grey and Brandy are clearly the favorites, yet one of them could still be eliminated before Palin. If that happens this week, then the outcries by anti-Palin fans will reach a fever pitch.
The most likely results would have Kyle Massey eliminated this week, however, leaving Grey, Brandy and Palin for the finals. Massey has the least buzz left by far, despite getting his highest scores yet last Monday. If Massey is eliminated tomorrow, it would cause far less anger and controversy than if Brandy and Grey were taken out – depending on their performances tonight.
Even though Grey and Brandy have been the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup leaders throughout Season 11, they can’t afford to slip up tonight. If they are more vulnerable to getting voted out, thanks to Palin, a subpar performance would leave them in danger. Despite their strong bodies of work, it might not be enough to bail them out.
Clearly, tonight and tomorrow will be under much scrutiny, for reasons beyond the performances of the final four. The Dancing With the Stars lineup will try to carry on regardless, with the semifinal round starting at 8 pm est on ABC.
