Dancing With the Stars 2010 results have already shortened the lineup. After the Dancing With the Stars 2010 results last night, the lineup is already missing one of its big names. Of course, since that big name tied for the worst score on Monday night, voting him out was a no-brainer. Several dancers did not get off on the right foot on Monday, with Bristol Palin not even being the worst among them. Instead, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 results erased the Hoff from the lineup.
David Hasselhoff was among the most experienced entertainers in the lineup, with time on the stage and screen. But it did not leave him fleet of foot, as he only got a 15 on Monday’s premiere show, and was among the most likely candidates to go.
The Dancing With the Stars 2010 results did send Hasselhoff away, but there was a surprise name in the bottom two nonetheless. Kyle Massey was among the highest scorers in the lineup, getting a 23 and tying for second overall. Yet the voters sent him to the bottom two with Hasselhoff, instead of Margaret Cho, The Situation or Audrina Patridge.
Of course, this only made it more obvious that Hasselhoff would be the one voted out. Tom Bergeron said that the outcome surprised “even our producers,” but the audience likely felt different. The Dancing With the Stars 2010 results did take a big name out of the lineup earlier than usual, yet Hasselhoff made it inevitable.
Despite their own struggles, Margaret Cho and Michael Bolton were the first two declared safe. The Situation and Kurt Warner also survived, along with Florence Henderson and Patridge. The Dancing With the Stars 2010 results also kept Bristol Palin alive, although even if she did horribly on Monday, voters weren’t likely to eliminate her on Week 1.
The lineup clearly has a lot of weak spots, behind prospective leaders like Jennifer Grey, Brandy and Rick Fox. Massey appeared to be among the leaders after Monday, yet he was put on the brink. At the least, with the likes of The Situation, Cho and Bolton likely to go before long, other struggling contestants should stay around for a while.
Luckily, Hasselhoff’s Comedy Central roast came before the Dancing With the Stars 2010 results, so this will merely be material for his next roast. Meanwhile, the rest of the lineup will move on to next week, where one contestant will not get another stay of execution.
