Round 5 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” Season 11 looks to be a very interesting theme. On Tuesday night’s results show, host Tom Bergeron dished that next week will be TV Theme Week. First of all, what does that mean? And what dances will the DWTS stars perform? Let the speculation begin.
According to TV Squad, some of the DWTS TV Theme songs/dances have been revealed. And while many fans assume (and hope!) that Florence Henderson will of dance to the iconic “Brady Bunch” theme, other TV theme choices are harder to figure out.
First up, Henderson told TV Squad that she and partner Corky Ballas are “hoping” to dance to the “Brady” theme. There’s just that small problem of getting the clearances approved. Here’s hoping ABC can make that happen because seeing Mrs. Brady dance to any other TV theme just wouldn’t be right!
Two more for-sure TV Theme dances for Dancing With the Stars Round 5 TV Theme Week?
Brandy and Maks Chmerkovskiy – Quickstep- “I’ll Be There For You” (“Friends” theme)
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer – Foxtrot- “Charlie’s Angels” theme
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke – Fox revealed that the retro TV show that he and partner Cheryl Burke will represent is an oldie but a goodie, saying, “It has tons of seasons.” But since Burke was born in 1984, she’s not all that familiar with classic TV. Could it be “I Love Lucy”- because Rick Fox would make a great Ricky! Actually, the fan buzz is that the two will dance to the theme song to the 1980’s series “Hills Street Blues”.
“Dancing With the Stars”message board chatter has many speculating that Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya will quickstep to the classic “Bewitched” TV theme, while Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough will foxtrot to the Frank Sinatra song “Love and Marriage” (“Married With Children” theme).
No word on what Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas will dance to, although it may be from a 1960’s sitcom. Hmmm…”Gilligan’s Island”, “Leave it to Beaver”, “The Munsters”, “I Dream of Jeannie”…. the possibilities are endless.
Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani – No definitive word yet on this couple’s TV theme dance, but Patridge did star for 6 seasons on a little MTV show called “The Hills”. The “Hills” theme is the Natasha Bedingfield song, “Unwritten”. Let’s just hope Dovolani doesn’t have to don a blonde wig and flesh colored beard and go all Spencer Pratt on us!
To find out what TV themes the stars will actually dance to, you can catch the “Dancing With the Stars” TV Theme Week on Monday, October 18th at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
