The week 9 Dancing With the Stars results have the couple of Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough ahead of the crowd. Dancing With the Stars results from the Monday night performance had the couple finishing with two perfect scores, something that nobody had been close to accomplishing this season. On a night where the four remaining couples really brought their “A” games to the dance floor, those perfect scores ended up being really needed. It would seem that this would make Grey and Hough safe from elimination on Tuesday night, but many surprise eliminations have taken place this season.
To get those two perfect scores, Grey and Hough performed a Cha Cha and a Waltz on Monday night. Their Cha Cha was full of energy and could have been one of the best dances of the season on Dancing With the Stars. They followed that up with a really beautiful Waltz later on in the show, and ended up getting the maximum number of points that they could from the judges panel. Scoring 60 out of 60 for the night was exactly what Grey and Hough needed to do to make it into the finals of season 11, and now they just have to hope that the audience votes came through for them as well.
Coming in second place for the night were Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer, who performed a Samba first and then ended the show with an Argentine Tango. Both of the dances were superb, with the Samba packed with energy from both Kyle and Lacey, and the Tango ending the night with a lot of charisma from Kyle. They scored 29 out of 30 on both dances, notching some of the highest scores of the season and totaling 58 out of 60 in an extremely important semi-finals performance. By coming in second place, actor Massey may have just put himself into the finals.
Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished the night with a combined score of 57 out of 60, propelled by a perfect score in their second dance of the night. Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas rounded out the night in last place, only scoring 53 out of 60 for their two dances, which was actually the best they have performed all season. Now we are going to find out which of these celebrities the voting audience has decided to support, and if the top three scoring couples will move on or if we are in for another surprise elimination on Tuesday night.
The Tuesday, Nov. 16, results show will eliminate the ninth couple of the season and decide which three couples will be competing in the finals next week. It all comes down to this, and there are just two dances left for the finalists to decide who is going to win the mirror ball trophy this season.
