Michael Bolton and his partner, Chelsie Hightower, were critiqued by the judges for their jive on Monday, September 27. The criticism of their dance, by Bruno Tonioli, brought Len Goodman to the couple’s defense. He felt that Bruno was not only unkind, but could have offered some positive advice for the dancers. Many fans have agreed with Goodman’s comments.
Bruno was quoted as saying, “That is the worse jive I have seen in 11 years.”
I am sure that the elimination was no surprise to Michael Bolton, however, he feigned surprise when his name was announced as being eliminated.
Was his the worse dance performance or was it Bruno’s scathing words that made it so? The fans must have agreed with the judge’s assessment of the performance, because they voted him off.
There were others that did not fare well in last night’s performance. Mike Sarrentino might be the next to exit the dance contest, if he does not step up his game. Margaret Cho did improve this week, taking the dancing part seriously. She might become a casualty next week, if she does not put more seriousness in her routine.
The others seem to be improving, also. Kyle Massey has the rhythm part down, and so does Jennifer Grey. Florence Henderson is doing a terrific job, and not being the silly geriatric like her partner’s other celebrity partners. Bristol Palin is attempting to get the dance moves correct, and she is doing a good job.
Audrina Patridge is a delight to watch. Her lines are going to be a challenge to others, as she does the steps seemingly effortlessly.
Rick Fox is a competitor and he will continue to improve, because of this. Kurt Warner knows how to play the game, also, and those two will compete with each other seriously.
Brandy is a little weak in her dancing this week, but she has improved since Week 1. She will not be content on being on the bottom of the Leader board.
This season is proving to be an interesting one. Only the dancing will perpetuate these stars to move on. It will be a long season for some and very short one for others. The fans will decide, along with the advice of the judges on how to improve.
I am sure that Len Goodman, the head judge, will be looking at all of the aspects of the performances. He is very hard on the dancers, but his advice, if followed, is on the right track for the competitors.
This is another season to watch for dancing enthusiasts.
