On August 30, 2010, in a live television conference during an episode of Bachelor Pad, ABC’s Dancing with the Stars co-hosts, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke, announced the official line up of stars that will be competing on season 11 of the show.
There will be a total of 12 stars, six men and six women, competing this season on Dancing with the Stars. Those stars are as follows:
David Hasselhoff – David is an actor best known for his roles in the hit television shows Knight Rider and Baywatch. His professional dance partner will be one-time Dancing with the Stars champion, Kym Johnson.
Margaret Cho – Margaret is a stand-up comedian and actress currently starring in the Lifetime Television series Drop Dead Diva. She will be paired with professional dancer Louis Van Amstel.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino – Mike is a cast member on the MTV reality show Jersey Shore. His professional dance partner will be Karina Smirnoff.
Kurt Warner – Kurt is a former NFL quarterback. He will be dancing with professional dancer Anna Trebunskaya.
Brandy – Brandy is an R & B singer and actress known for her starring role in the ’90s television show Moesha. She will be paired with professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Rick Fox – Rick is a former NBA player for the LA Lakers and ex-husband of actress Vanessa Williams. His professional dance partner will be two-time Dancing with the Stars champion, Cheryl Burke.

Kyle Massey – Kyle is an actor best known for his roles in the Disney Channel shows That’s So Raven and Corey in the House. He will be dancing with professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer.
One professional dancer who will no longer be on the show is Edyta Sliwinska. She and the show have parted ways. Edyta was the only professional dancer who had participated in every season of Dancing with the Stars since its inception. It seems as though there was a disagreement between her and the show’s producers, which caused the split. She also wanted to work more with her husband, professional dancer Alec Mazo. He participated in five seasons of Dancing with the Stars, but the producers did not make him as involved in the show as she would have liked. Edyta will now concentrate her time on other projects, including pursuing a degree in communications.
Tune in to see the two-hour season premiere of Dancing with the Stars on the ABC network on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
