The Dancing with the Stars season 11 cast has been announced. It’s nice to see that some big name celebrities will participate this season.
The cast will consist of: Jennifer Grey, Michael Bolton, Brandy, David Hasselhoff, Florence Henderson, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox, Kyle Massey, Bristol Palin, Audrina Patridge, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, and Kurt Warner.
Some of the stars announced are beyong famous. We all know what the big name celebrities are famous for. While some of the other contestants are people I have never heard of, like, Margaret Cho, Rick Fox, Kyle Massey, and Kurt Warner. So let’s break down the not so famous contestants.
No-So Famous Contestants:
Margaret Cho is a stand-up comedian, who began her comedy routine at the age of 16. She is also an actress who scored roles in Face/Off, Sex in the City, and is a regular cast member on Drop Dead Diva. Cho is also a best-selling author and an advocate for equal rights.
Rick Fox may not sound like someone you not, but he is a three-time NBA champion. He plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. Fox is also an actor in both film and television. His acting debut was in 1994 in “Blue Chips”. He has also appeared in roles on He Got Game, Oz, Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, The Game, and Dirt. His film roles extend to roles in Meet the Browns, Mini’s First Time, Holes, and Resurrection. When he began his pro basketball career he was drafted into the NBA by the Boston Celtics. He proved himself as captain for both the Celtics and the Lakers. Rick Fox is also a father of two. Sounds like Rick Fox means business!
Kyle Massey is an actor and has appeared in shows like Cory in the House and That’s So Raven. He sings, has appeared in several commercials, and participates in celebrity golf tournaments. He also lends his voice to an upcoming animated series and he does charity work for Feed the Children. Currently he is a co-host of World’s Funniest Moments. They might have taken a chance with this Disney star. However, we will have to wait and see how he does, because you never know.
Kurt Wagner is officially the first quarterback to participate in Dancing With The Stars. It was 1999 when he led the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl win (XXXIV). Later that same year he was named the NFL and Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player. With Pro Bowl honors, and a couple of MVP nominations – he is sure to be real competition – at anything he does. He also led the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl. Besides his sports career, he also started his own charity called First Things First Foundation. The non-profit charity seeks to promote and encourage Christian values .
The two-hour season premiere will begin Monday, September 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
