Trebunskaya agreed saying he had “absolutely no grace whatsoever.”
However, dressed in a dark brown suit, Warner was tall, dark, and handsome as he danced the Viennese Waltz with Trebunskaya.
Dancing with the Stars Judges on Kurt Warner
Bruno Tonioli stated that Warner was a “graceful quarterback” saying the former NFL star was a natural and had great stage craft. Carrie Ann Inaba complimented Warner’s dancing as natural, graceful and debonair and for his easy connection with partner Trebunskaya and the audience. However, Len Goodman said he found very little to commend. Warner accepted the criticism gracefully saying he learned on the football field you can’t please everyone. He said overall he felt good about his performance because he did what Trebunskaya had asked of him which was to smile, have a good time, and connect with the audience. Warner earned a 7 from Inaba, a 5 from Goodman and another 7 from Tonioli for 19 points.
Dancing with the Stars – Bristol Palin
Paired with Mark Ballas, Bristol Palin told ABC she wanted to compete on the show because “It’s an amazing opportunity to be on a positive, uplifting, family-oriented show that brings some fun competition into America’s homes every week; it’s something I can be proud to participate in.”
Palin is new to the dance floor and stated on the show, “I’m not an entertainer, I’m not a performer, so I’m very nervous.” She and partner Mark Ballas chose the song “Mama Told Me Not to Come” for their Cha Cha Cha because, as Palin put it, her life was full of moments when “Mama told me not to do it, but I did it anyway.”
She added, “If I can remember half of what Mark has told me, bring a little sexy to it, and not embarrass my mother (former Gov. Sarah Palin), I’ll be happy.”
Palin was dressed in a sparkly conservative suit, but after a few steps she ripped it off to reveal a cute but still modest red dance dress.
Dancing with the Stars Judges on Bristol Palin
Len Goodman told Palin her performance was “very acceptable for week one” and congratulated her on her good job. Bruno Tonioli complimented Palin overall and told her to work on the performance aspect. Carrie Ann Inaba was even more complimentary, stating she expected Palin to be boring, but had been proven to be very wrong. “You’ve got fantastic legs,” she said, stating the way Palin undulated her body showed great potential.
Each of the judges gave Palin a 6 for a score of 18. Next: ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 11 – Week 2 Recap
