Dancing with the Stars Season 11 week three was Story Week. Dance teams had to tell a story with their dance. This week props were allowed and acting talent definitely came into play. So who had the best story line of the night on Dancing with the Stars and whose story put the judges to sleep?
Audrina and Tony took a page from the Patrick Swayze movie Ghost. Tony played the part of a soldier killed in war that returns to the woman he loves for one last waltz. Bruno said the dance told the story and was beautiful. Len said the performance was the most touching of the night. The dance won Audrina and Tony the lead for week three.
Rick and Cheryl turned up the heat with the Samba. As a matter of fact during the beginning of the dance Rick tore open his shirt which added even more heat to the performance.Rick played the part of a basketball player that causes his team to lose the game. Cheryl played the part of a dancer in a club where Rick went to drown his sorrows. Carrie Ann told the team they were sexy and right on the money. Bruno told Rick to bring it on. Rick and Cheryl tied for second place with Jennifer and Derek and Brandy and Maks.
The most original presentation of the night came from The Situation and Karina. Credit has to go to Katrina for imagination and creativity for combing the Black Eyed Peas song
“Boom Boom Pow” with the foxtrot. The story centers around a couple transported through time in a time machine. The choreography, costumes and Cheryl’s hair all came together for what Bruno called a very entertaining performance. Unfortunately for The Situation Len didn’t get it saying he found the whole thing bizarre. The team finished in the bottom third of the pack.
The most colorful performance of the night came from Margaret wearing a yellow feather headpiece and a rainbow colored fringed flapper dress. Louie removed her headdress before the team began their Samba, but the dance was painful to watch. Margaret was on tour during the week and that may have contributed to the poor performance. Lou asked the couple “Where was the story”? Bruno said he loved that she was wearing the rainbow flag, but as dancers they had lost their way. Margaret said they were dedicating the dance to all the gay teens in America that are bullied everyday. Team Cho finished in last place.
