Dancing With The Stars Week 2 Results yielded a rather perturbed Michael Bolton who was able to blast Bruno’s jive critique of him before receiving the boot. While Judge Bruno said that Bolton’s jive was the “worst jive in eleven seasons” after Monday night’s performance, Bolton told Brook Burke last night that Bruno had been “inappropriate and disrespectful” with his comments.
Regardless of what Bruno was or wasn’t, the bottom line was still the same….Bolton simply did not receive enough fan votes to carry him into Week 3. As such, Bolton like the Hoff is off Dancing With The Stars Season 11.
In fact, both Bolton and The Situation landed in the bottom two last night but The Sitch was able to slide through again with such a disastrous performance by Bolton and partner Chelsie Hightower. The Situation, however, won’t be as lucky as time goes on and the really bad dancers are weeded out.
Jersey Shore’s Situation might also want to learn what “musicality” is, admitting last night he really had no clue. But the correlation of having no “musicality” is being in the bottom and that’s pretty straightforward.
Adding an unexpected and odd space filler in last night’s results show was the admission of some rather quirky rituals that a few of the professional partners dally in before going on stage. The least weird (maybe?) was that Derek Hough keeps a pair of white socks in his refrigerator that he dons first before adding another layer of black socks. We can forget that, Derek, since we like you so much.
Coming in second for “weirdness” was Cheryl Burke’s administration of hand sanitizer under her armpits before dancing. Hmmm……
But perhaps the winner of absolute odd-bod behavior goes to Corky Ballas who likes to smell (yes, smell) the dance floor before stomping and attacking it with his nice black dancing shoes. Talking about getting into character!
While the press had said that Michael Bolton (along with Bristol Palin) had exhibited “diva-like” behavior before the beginning of Dancing With The Stars Season 11, it wasn’t really confirmed that he was such until last night.
His blasting of Bruno’s critique revealed how easily offended and put off he can be. While judges have delivered harsh criticisms in many seasons before, Bruno may want to keep one eye over his shoulder for a while as Bolton took what’s supposed to be a light and fun source of entertainment and changed it into a stone cold admonition for the harmless Italian choreographer.
