The Dancing with the Stars week 7 results show celebrated the 200th episode, which also included breaks for November 2010 election returns. Taylor Swift sang from her Speak Now. Rod Stewart, who at 65 now dresses in dapper suits, sang as well. In addition, we got another dance from the Macy’s Stars of Dance with a Mary Poppins theme.
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke and Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer were in jeopardy. For the first time since Dancing with the Stars began, we saw Bristol Palin cry. After weeks of working non-stop, and being away from her son and family, Bristol says she’s exhausted. Although she loves Dancing with the Stars, she’s ready to go back to Alaska.
The Dancing with the Stars week 7 results show had a couple of fun awards. There was the “Most Dramatic” moment award. Nominees included Kate Gosselin making Toni Dovolani want to quit, and Marie Osmond collapsing, among others. The winner was Marie Osmond. There was also the “Best Worst Dancer” award. Kate Gosselin was one of the nominees for this one as well. However, the winner was Kenny Mayne. Finally, there was an award for “Biggest Dancer Transformation,” with the winner being Louis Van Amstel, who ditched his ponytail for a more sophisticated look.
We also got a sneak peek at another reality show – Skating with the Stars. We get to watch actress Sean Young, rocker Vince Neil, among others, learn to skate and compete.
But, the time finally came to eliminate one of the couples on the Dancing with the Stars week 7 results show. Once again, Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas, who were at the bottom of the leaderboard, survived the final elimination. The couple sent home was Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke, even though they performed their best dance on Monday.
Episode 15 of Dancing with the Stars will air on Monday, November 8, 2010 on ABC.
