David Archuleta Releases Third Album

by bogbit

David Archuleta, former American Idol runner-up, will release his third album on October 5,2010 titled “The Other Side of Down”. This album will feature the single “Something ’bout Love” and will feature 11 other songs that I am sure will find their way into the top of the record charts.

David Archuleta is a 20 year old young man that was born in Florida and moved to Salt Lake City , Utah when he was six. Now currently living in Murray, Utah, David has always shown his talent in the music industry. At the age of 10, he won the child division of the Utah Talent Competition. At age 12, he won the Junior Vocal Championship on Star Search 2. Becoming one of the youngest competitors ever to be on American Idol, David entered the American Idol competition in 2007.

David shined during the competition on American Idol and he began to have a large following of fans who were sure that he would win the competition. Rumors were that although David Cook had the talent to win and had been one of the front runners throughout the competition, David Archuleta could win with the votes of all the younger tweens watching and voting. However, David Archuleta became the 2008 American Idol runner-up, when David Cook was announced the season’s winner.

David Archuleta released his first single “Crush” in August 2008. This song was from his self-titled album which debuted in October 2008. This album sold many copies and proved that David Archuleta was a force to be reckoned with in the recording world. His second album was released last year and his third album will be released this week.

The album, “The Other Side of Down” will feature the following songs:
1. The Other Side of Down
2. Something ’bout Love
3. Elevator
4. Stomping the Roses
5. Who Am I
6. Falling Stars
7. Parachute Airplanes
8. Look Around
9. Good Place
10. Complain
11. Things are Gonna Get Better
12. My Kind of Perfect

As I read the titles of the songs on this album, I was thinking that Archuleta realizes that he is young enough to make a fun album, but yet mature enough to make sure that the album shows that he has a serious side and that he is serious with the career path that has been laid before him. I believe that the songs show that he is doing a certain amount of soul searching, but that he is okay with where he is in life and where he is headed. Archuleta fans know that they are looking forward to many more albums and know that he is a star with whatever he is singing.

David’s website offers a glimpse of the talent that this young man has shown and offers fans an opportunity to hear a snippet of each of the songs that will be on this album. I would recommend that anyone who has not ever heard David sing, go to the website and see the talent that this young man has brought to the music industry. For his fans that are anxiously awaiting this new album, be in line at your favorite store on Tuesday when you will be able to purchase this new album and enjoy it!
