My favorite deodorant comes from Degree. I trust this brand because it works. It doesn’t make false claims that it has no intention of delivering. That is rare in today’s marketplace.
Recently, I discovered Degree’s new Body Responsive Deodorant in Sheer Powder. It comes in an invisible solid stick.
Active ingredients include aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex glycine, BHT, cornstarch, cyclopentasiloxane, hydrogenated castor oil, isopropyl palmitate, mineral oil, parfume, stearyl alcohol, steareth-100 and talc.
Aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex glycine is the primary ingredient in antiperspirants because of its unique ability to close pores in order to prevent sweating. It also helps to absorb existing moisture.
BHT, or butylated hydroxytoluene is an additive used as a preservative in everything from food to airplane fuel. In cosmetics, BHT prevents free radicals from having a negative effect.
Cyclopentasiloxane is a fluid silicone emollient that it often used in skin care products like deodorants, skin creams sun blocks and suntan lotions. It is also used in some hair conditioners as well as hairspray. Additionally, it is included in some personal lubricants.
Isopropyl palmitate is palm oil emollient that is used as thickening agent. It is also moisture rich, which is why it is a popular ingredient in cosmetics.
Steareth-100 is a byproduct of sterayl alcohol. It is used in deodorants, facial cleanser, hair color, hand cream, moisturizers, styling products and sunscreens.
Deodorants like Degree’s new Body Responsive Deodorant in Sheer Powder are made for underarm use only. They should not be used underneath or between the breasts or in the genital area.
Neither should Degree’s new Body Responsive Deodorant in Sheer Powder be used on skin that is cracked or broken; that has peeled away or that possesses any kind of open wound. It should not be used on red or irritated skin or skin that has a rash.
This deodorant’s ingredients are meant for external use only. They should never be swallowed, as they are poisonous. For that reason, it is important to keep Degree’s new Body Responsive Deodorant in Sheer Powder out of the reach of children and pets.
If the deodorant is swallowed, it is important to contact the local poison control center or the national hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Another option is to report to an ER facility as quickly as possible.
People with kidney disease may not be good candidates for using this product. Contact your physician before using it.
Generally one application of Degree’s new Body Responsive Deodorant in Sheer Powder lasts for the biggest part of the day. However, a second application may be applied as needed.
