Whether you are looking to have fun in a group, as a couple, a family or just a couple friends, bowling is a very nice answer to the age old question: “So, what do you want to do tonight?” In this article I have listed three bowling alleys in the Delaware County, PA area. All of them are easy to get to whether driving or depending on public transit. Each place has its own unique specials, but in all bowling seems to be the best fun for your money around here.
Delaware County’s Best Local Bowling Alleys-Playhouse Lanes Drexel Hill, PA
Playhouse Lanes is first on my list for a few reasons. Accessibility is top priority for me since I do not drive. This bowling alley is easy to get to whether taking public transportation or by car. If driving is your transportation of choice, there is off street parking so no worries there. Playhouse Lanes has a nice atmosphere with no particular age dominating. Young older and in between have fun here. There are plenty of special events such as glow bowling, kids bumper bowling and Sunday night special. For those who are interested in joining, there is a nine pin mixed league. Feel free to call about this at the number listed below. When I called to ask about specific hours they were courteous and happy to share information. Playhouse Lanes will also be happy to set up for special events such as corporate outings and birthday party packages. I know years ago they had a special for us when the girls were in girl scouts and were very accommodating. There are far too many specials to list here, but you can refer to their events page for specific pricing for different events. I will say the nor during the week before 5:00 PM is $12.00 per hour. After 5:00 PM it is less expensive and shoes are included as well.
