Christine O’Donnell is a dunce.
Christine O’Donnell can’t win.
Christine O’Donnell has said nutty things.
Christine O’Donnell is a witch.
Christine O’Donnell is an extreme right wing christian conservative (who just happens to be a witch!)
We’ve heard all these things from Democrats, the left wing media, and sad to say, some Republicans the last few weeks. So if they are true, why are the Democrats running scared?
– Obama and Joe Biden have visited the State of Delaware multiple times to campaign for Chris Coons. Why, if this is such a slam dunk for Coons? The Washington Post has the ultimate spin:
“Campaigning for Coons – and, more important, against O’Donnell – gives Obama a chance to remind voters nationwide about the Republican nominee, whom Democrats have gleefully embraced as an example of an extreme conservative.”
Yeah, right. If that’s the case then it’s not working. O’Donnell is closing fast, Angle is ahead in Nevada and Rubio is running away with it in Florida. As Bob Scheiffer might say ‘Is that the best you can come up with?’.
– Chris Coons backed out of any future debates with O’Donnell. If she is such an idiot then the Bearded Marxist/Tax Man Coons should relish the chance to wipe the floor with O’Donnell. Of course, what would you expect from a man who was not just defeated but DESTROYED by O’Donnell in both debates – the first being a 3 on 1 Coons/Wolf Blitzer/Nancy Karibjanian vs O’Donnell where both Chris Coons AND Wolf Blitzer got an education from O’Donnell on Constitutional law. Then in the second debate Coons had to run to the moderators for protection when O’Donnell asked him to recite the 5 freedoms enumerated in the First Amendment. More on that here:
The truth of the matter is that Chris Coons is NO MATCH for Christine O’Donnell’s sharp debating skills and obvious superior intellect when it comes to the Constitution or law (or just about anything for that matter). Since the debates Chris Coon’s lead has gone from 20 points to single digits. Most liberals don’t expect to be challenged in debates and when they are, in the words of Patsy Cline, they “fall to pieces”.
– The latest is a smear attempt on O’Donnell’s character with an insidious claim from an anonymous man (who was later identified as Dustin Dominiak) about a “sexless” one night stand with Christine O’Donnell in 2007. What kind of a stupid story is that? If that was in the story line of “General Hospital” people would turn it off! And correct me if I’m wrong, but “IF” true wouldn’t that CONFIRM that she practices what she preaches on abstinence? And this guy was PAID for this story?
But here’s the main paragraph you need to take away from him:
“When I heard several months ago that Christine had decided to run again, I didn’t take it very seriously. And I never expected in a million years that she’d end up winning the primary. But she did, and the morning after the election, I sat in disbelief as I watched the news on TV. For a second, I thought I might be hearing things and I went over to my computer and pulled up CNN.com to check if it was true. It was.
God, I hope the same thing doesn’t happen next week.”
Far from an nonobjective citizen who just felt the need to make this story public, we have a partisan hack hoping to bring down her campaign. Again, if she’s so far behind, why is this necessary?
By the way, if Christine O’Donnell IS a witch, wouldn’t she have been able to keep Mr. Dominiak from speaking?
The bottom line is that this race appears to be a LOT closer than what the Democrats and the media would have you believe. Since her primary victory over Mike Castle, O’Donnell has run a phenomenal campaign focusing on the issues and hammering away relentlessly at Chris Conn’s record and ideology with her TV ads and in the debates. I would not be surprised at all to see Christine O’Donnell victorious on Tuesday.
What would Karl Rove say then?
