Did you ever wonder if Stephen King needs SEO to rise to the top of Google? I thought of this when I was looking at his ugly mug in this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly. Stephen King is the king of horror. He has been the king of horror for many years. I remember thirty years ago when I was sixteen years old. I was at my sister’s house and I saw this book called “Salem’s Lot” by Stephen King. I picked the book up and I began to read it. After a few hours of reading, I believed creatures were jumping at me through the walls of my sister’s house. I could not put the book down, but at the same time it freaked me out. Stephen King has a way of luring you in and scaring the snot out of you at the same time.
The question still remains, does Stephen King have to modernize his writing on the internet and learn SEO like the rest of us? Does he have to learn SEO to rise to the top of Google? Or does Stephen King just have to sign his name to a story and get one million hits on the World Wide Web? I believe it is easier for Stephen King to get a million hits on the internet than your average Joe. Stephen King already has a name and everybody knows who he is. If he writes a story, you are going to probably click on it to see what it is about. If there is a picture by his name, you may jump out of your boots. The man really does look like a ghost.
I always thought the (death warmed over) look of Stephen King was done on purpose because he is the king of horror. I still think part of it may be true. I mean, Stephen King is not a handsome man, but part of his scariness must be done on purpose. When I see pictures of Stephen King, he has a wax like look to him. Of course this perception could be partly due to my imagination. I have read many Stephen King books in the past and they are pretty creepy books. “Pet Semetary” can send shivers up your spine. Don’t forget the man killing car called “Christine”. “Cujo” makes us all want to stay away from large man eating dogs. Stephen King can scare the snot out of you. This is his forte.
I took a look at Stephen King’s website and I received an answer to my question. Stephen King will get a ton of hits because of his name. If he signs his name to a story, people will read it. Stephen King’s website is professionally done. It looks like the king of horror paid an SEO expert to design his website. Stephen King may know nothing about SEO. However, he will get more hits than an average person because of his name. He is also intelligent enough to know he has to stay with the times to remain the king of horror.
In conclusion, I believe even Stephen King needs an SEO expert to put him on the top of the list on Google and other search engines. Stephen King has the money to pay an SEO expert to get him the hits he wants and needs. Stephen King will also get many more hits because he is Stephen King. His name is synonymous with the word horror. The rest of us will have to learn SEO for ourselves if we want to rise to the top of the lists on Google and other search engines.
